Datatex Dynamics 2011: The year ahead
February – wonderful memories of holidays are fading. The only remaining evidence of the
good times that were had by all being tight clothes and a battle to get rid of the beer that has solidified on our hips under this
African sun of ours.

with the New Consumer Protection Act
Through our very tight and intensive development around our integration into Mitel we can
now offer an extremely cost effective, high quality, pure VoIP recording solution on Mitel controllers in the SME space. Ama Tel-Tel
is part of our core Amethyst offering, structured specifically for this growing market segment. With various options available and
potential to grow into a full version of Amethyst. It is most certainly the perfect solution for the SME with tight cash flow as well
as the large corporate with an initial small recording requirement concerned about future growth.
We want to communicate with all
of you through our new support forum
We are extremely excited to announce the immediate availability of our forum support option
at http://forums.datatex.co.za. Please encourage all your technical and sales people to register as soon as possible in order to obtain
the latest support and sales information. We will also provide RSS feeds from our forums to ensure constant updates are available
at all times. Forum support will soon replace all technical email support.We have found the advantages of one- to- many communication
is a critical requirement in order to ensure quick response times on key issues. 90% of our email support is replication of information
and support forums are certainly the best option to share knowledge. It also allows end-users to share information with one another
on typical implementation scenarios, questions and solutions. The forums will ultimately become the definitive library on all detailed
aspects of our products. We have started off by adding all documents from our software support libraries (SSL) to the forums and these
are fully searchable. The forums are therefore already loaded with tons of information. Now let us all build on this together.
TNG can now also control costs on the NEC PBXs
Full budget management with barring control is available through TNG on a number
of PBXs. Due to popular demand, we now also have control barring on the NEC.
Be alert, be super alert because there is a Minefield
brand new web-based remote site monitoring solution, Minefield is up and running. Providing extended intelligence in alarm- and event-monitoring
functionality, it will eventually replace our event-monitor system in full over the months to come. All of this will ensure better
detection of potential failures in hardware, software and networking infrastructure with all our SLA clients. Peridot – Our new predictive
dialler with both hard and soft dialler options.
We intend on releasing our very own predictive dialler in the next few months.

See and hear your own with MyAccount
This is our own internal
web-based Customer Information Repository (CIR) system. After trying out a number of CRM systems over the last couple of years we
came to realize we need a custom system. Given our own in-house development skills, it made sense to do this ourselves and\ integrate
all our own systems into this. Integration with TNG has been completed and the next to follow is Amethyst. We also want to convert
the XML data structures into a proper relational database to give us more flexibility. Once this is completed, we will start giving
our SLA customers selective access to their own information in MyAccount. Consequently our SLA customers will have access to all correspondence,
documents and voice recordings between themselves and Datatex staff. We aim to have this all up and running before the 3rd quarter
of the year.
It must be clear that we cannot sit still and wait for life to happen. We make it happen.
